(1/3) I met this lovely lady whilst buying a coffee! She’d always wanted a tattoo in memory of her mother but didn’t feel comfortable in having it until we met…#NAOHOAstory⠀
(3/3) R.I.P…😔🎗 #NAOHOAstory⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Generally speaking, I avoid asking questions that are too personal, as it’s up to you how much you want to share or withhold* – just as I avoid initiating hugs, as I feel it would be unprofessional of me to do so (it’s okay if you want a hug – I get that having a tattoo can be an emotional process!). I can’t imagine what her journey was like through such loss, and was amazed at her strength and kindness.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ …without a doubt, your mum would be so very proud of you. 💕⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ * information shared here is strictly confidential.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This client gave me a sketch to work from, but I forgot to add it to the video. 🙈

Over a year ago, I stumbled across a lovely-looking planner on Kickstarter called Minerva. After buying one for myself to support the cause (and attempt to get my shizz together), I was invited to join their Facebook group. Over time, I got to know the larger-than-life owner, Sophie Jewry. I love her honesty around being an entrepreneur, along with positive encouragement and helpful tips on how to plan for our goals. I really have no idea how she juggles her time in running her own businesses and supporting us lot in her online community!
We planned her tattoo a few months ago and finally got round to inking it. It’ll be part of a larger back piece to join onto some existing work. Here’s the first part of the puzzle:
….did I mention she drove all the way from Norfolk to be inked here?! :O Honestly can’t thank you enough for your commitment, Sophie – I had a blast and it was fab to finally meet you in person~ 💕
Until next time! 😀
It was her first time trying out Saniderm too – here’s what she had to say:
“Day 2 of the saniderm over the tattoo and I’m loving it!
No cream everywhere, no sticking to my clothes, no peeling gooey skin… all that lovely stuff no one talks about when they talk about tattoos and you forget until you get another one how inconvenient it is LOL
Not anymore! Bloody brilliant stuff. Thank you Naomi – it’s a revelation!

Any Ghibli fans here? 😀 This is something I started with the intention of selling at the Film & Comic Convention (Cardiff), but it ended up being quite detailed and I wanted to spend more time on it.
Here’s how it’s looking so far:
Can you spot which films are referenced?

Thank you, Anto~! It was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to inking your next one. 😉
This year I’ll be doing my first ever Comic Con, where I’ll be available all weekend to meet and greet anyone who wants to talk tattoos. More often than not, it’s nice to meet the artist beforehand and build a rapport before getting inked, and that’s exactly why I’ll be around. 🙂
Alongside general chatter, I’ll also be taking requests to draw cute comic-style characters for sale. Want a self portrait or fun scenario of you and your friends? Maybe it’s your buddy’s birthday soon and you’d like to get them something special…check out my stall to buy art prints, tattoo Gift Certificates and one-off custom-drawn sketches!
Zan and I will be at the stall the whole time, whilst Aleks and Mike will be roaming around the venue talking to people about what it’s like to get inked at NAOHOA. If you can’t find me but spot them on your travels, ask them to guide you to the stall. 🙂
If I can’t finish your sketch in time for the weekend because people wanna talk ink, I’ll post it to you for free!
Until then~ 😁
This client came all the way from Birmingham for a tattoo she’d wanted for about 3 years. Being her first taste of ink, she wisely opted for the Temporary Tattoo Package, allowing her to try on her design in two different colours (black and brown). There was quite a lot of traffic on the way down and she had to leave early to head towards Portsmouth, but we managed to get the bulk of it done! Whenever she’s ready next, we’ll neaten it up with a thicker outline around the outside. 🙂

(4/5) This is what a Temporary Tattoo looks like when it’s on! 😃 #NAOHOAstory .
(5/5) This is as finished as I’ll get for a long while, as she’s since moved to Canada! 🍁 Still need to do a thicker outline around the whole thing to tidy it up, but well sat nonetheless for her first tattoo. 😊 #NAOHOAstory .
“Naomi is an exceptional tattoo artist and highly skilled. I choose to get my first tattoo with Naomi because the studio was very welcoming, extremely clean and well organised. While I was there, Naomi made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I will definitely be going back there in the future.”

This client wanted to have the Chinese version of his name with an energetic brush stroke on his back. 🙂 His name means a mixture of powerful/mighty/strong/brave…all that Jazz!

Naomi is very nice lady, very professional, very patience to her clients. She has good future ahead of her. She gives very clear instructions of the aftercare of the tattoos also she gives nice thank you pack with clear instructions of the aftercare to which is very kindly of her.
